Third International Conference on Computational Fluid Dynamics

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

July 12-16, 2004

Announcement and Preliminary Call for Papers

The ICCFD series is a merger of two series of international conferences in CFD, ICNMFD and ISCFD. These were prestigious international CFD conferences with ICNMFD holding conferences since 1969 and ISCFD since 1985.  ICCFD conferences are held every two years. ICCFD1 was held in Kyoto, Japan in 2000, and ICCFD2 was held in Sydney, Australia in 2002.

ICCFD is devoted to all aspects of CFD, basic and applied. Topics of interest include but are not limited to compressible and incompressible flows, reacting flows, two-phase flows, LES, DES, DNS, and transition to turbulence, multi-disciplinary analysis, optimization, and algorithm development, including higher-order methods, iterative methods, multigrid, mesh adaptation, generalized fluid formulations, and parallel algorithms.  Proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag. Papers will not appear in the proceedings unless at least one author registers for the conference.

Conference Venue

ICCFD3 will be held at the Westin Harbour Castle, which is located at TorontoŐs harbourfront near many of TorontoŐs major attractions, such as the CN tower, the Skydome (home of the Blue Jays), the Air Canada Centre, and the Hummingbird Centre. Other attractions, such as the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Theatre District, as well as shopping and dining  are just minutes away.

Abstract Submission

Papers will be selected based on abstracts of a maximum length of two pages, including figures and references. Authors are required to include their name, complete address, e-mail address, and two keywords.

For hardcopy submission, please send 5 copies (one page double-sided) of your abstract to:

Prof. D.W. Zingg

Institute for Aerospace Studies

University of Toronto

4925 Dufferin St.

Toronto, Ontario M3H 5T6

For electronic submission, please email your abstract in WORD, Postscript, or PDF format to dwz@oddjob.utias.utoronto.ca. Other formats will not be accepted.

Note that the policy of ICCFD is to consider no more than two papers from a single individual, whether as author or co-author, in order to produce a diverse conference with the widest possible representation of the global CFD community.
